Th point guard initially attended the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High school in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He played the games with his twin brother, Max, as he averaged 20 points per game.
As they played together, Marcus led the team to their first-ever Division 4 state basketball championship. Later, both the brothers transferred to the Tilton School in New Hampshire.
Following it, he led the team again to the Class AA championship game. Right then, he was named to the All-NEPSAC AA first team.
During the timeframe, Marcus averaged 23 points, five rebounds, and six assists per game.

Injury
To date, Marcus Zegarowski has faced numerous injuries which have had him out of multiple games. Initially, he first fractured his hand, swiping down on a ball. On February 3, 2019, Marcus’ injury had him miss three games.
Right after it, the point guard underwent a hip injury that unfortunately made him miss the team’s exhibition trip to Australia.
Although he was physically in pain, he came out licking his wound in confidence.
Later, on March 7, 2020, Marcus struggled with a right knee injury during the game against Seton Hall. Right after it, he underwent arthroscopic surgery after the game.
