Giannis Antetokounmpo beats NBA hall of fame Kareem Abdul- Jabbar to make a franchise record.
One of the league’s top players right now, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is creating history after history. The Grecian star historic stretch continued this Monday with the third consecutive triple-double.
Giannis made 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists to give the Bucks their fourth straight win.
This performance made Giannis the Bucks’ only player to have three triple-doubles in a row.
This means he beats the franchise’s previous record of two triple-double in a row made by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
This is not the first time he has made history for triple-double.
He recently created NBA history for the most triple-doubles made on the same day by five different players.
In the game against the wizards, he made 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and 33 points and became one of those five to give many triple-doubles on the same day.

This performance made Giannis the Bucks’ only player to have three triple-doubles in a row.
This means he beats the franchise’s previous record of two triple-double in a row made by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
He now has 25 triple-doubles for his career and leads by 17, with the Hall of fame Kareem Abdul Jabbar at second for the franchise.
And, this is not the first time he has made history for triple-double.

Giannis made a triple-double on March 11, where he gave Bucks 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Grizzlies.
They won the match by 15 points lead.
He made one on March 14 against the Wizards, where he dropped 33points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, gave 6 points lead.
On March 15, he dropped 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, made the 3rd triple-double and gave wizards another loss by 11 points.
With these triple-doubles, he also beat the Franchise record for the most 30 points triple-double.
He has put his name alongside an elite club in NBA history. There are only three players since 1983 who have had more games with triple-double.
These three players are Russell Westbrook, Larry Bird, and Luka Doncic.
Giannis also became the third player this season with a triple-double in three-straight games, joining Russell Westbrook and Jimmy Butler.

For the 2018-19 season, he won the MVP award and joined Kareem Abdul Jabbar as the second Bucks player to win MVP.
He has the record for most Career triple-double in Bucks’ history. He helped Bucks reach the Eastern Conference finals for the 2018-19 season.
In the finals, they were defeated 4-2 by the eventual champions, the Toronto Raptors.
On September 18, 2020, he won his 2nd MVP award.
He joined Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players to win MVP and NBA Defensive Player of the Year awards in the same season.
At the 2021 All-Star game, he won All-Star MVP, where he gave 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 35 points for team Lebron to win against team Durant.
He became only the third player in NBA history after Michael, Jordan, and Kevin Garnet to win an MVP, All-Star MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year award in his career.
