Sadly, Ron has only played six seasons in MLB. Ron made his MLB debut on September 2, 1981. At that time, Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him to play for them.

After some years of managing Brewers, Rom decided to return as a coach. In 2015, Ron Roenicke joined Los Angeles Dodgers as a third-base coach.

He was with the team for two years. Later, Boston Red Sox appointed him as the bench coach, serving under rookie manager Alex Cora.

In some interviews, Ron describes the job as a bench manager as something he always wanted to do. Ron said he thought he was suitable for the job.

Ron Roenicke became the manager of the Red Sox when Cora and Red Sox decided to part ways. After that, during a press conference, the Red Sox declared Ron, the interim manager.

However, later, MLB removed the tag “interim” following the investigation of MLB about sign stealing by the 2018 Red Sox.

But under Ron’s guidance, the team couldn’t perform as expected. Sox had the lowest score for the franchise since 1965.

Later, Sox announced that Ron would not return for the 2021 season as the manager.
