Sadly, Ron has only played six seasons in MLB. Ron made his MLB debut on September 2, 1981. At that time, Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him to play for them. 

However, he has played with many clubs. But he didn’t stay in any clubs for a more extended period.

On the contrary, in 1994, he started his managerial career for Great Falls Dodgers.

Return to Coaching

After some years of managing Brewers, Rom decided to return as a coach. In 2015, Ron Roenicke joined Los Angeles Dodgers as a third-base coach.

He was with the team for two years. Later, Boston Red Sox appointed him as the bench coach, serving under rookie manager Alex Cora.

In some interviews, Ron describes the job as a bench manager as something he always wanted to do. Ron said he thought he was suitable for the job.

Later, Sox announced that Ron would not return for the 2021 season as the manager.
