Thanks to his family’s support, Alexander went to pursue gymnastics as a profession. He first joined his college gymnastics team at the University of Oklahoma. 

At the start of his career, he competed in various national-level competitions. 

Likewise, Alex became the national champion five times with sheer dedication and proper guidance from his father and mentor.

Young Alex became a national gymnastic sensation with the pommel horse, which is his forte.

Taking a big leap in his career, Alexander earned his spot in the US men’s national team in 2011. He won a team bronze medal in his first world championship in Tokyo.

Suspension from the gymnastics team

Alex Naddour had to face some difficulties in his ten years-long gymnastics career too. One of which is his suspension from the USA gymnastics team.

Naddour was accused of sexual misconduct and harassment. The first allegations were put forward in 2012. Likewise, more allegations were made four years later, in 2016.

Obviously, Alex denied all of it and stated he was unaware of anything that led to the allegations. 

Unfortunately, the American-born was suspended from the USA Gymnastics (USAG) in 2018. He was prohibited from participating in any further USAG activities due to the suspension.

Luckily, all the allegations against Alex were cleared in 2018 by the United States Center for SafeSport.

Following that, he was also removed from the list of suspended USA gymnastics athletes.
