However, here’s a piece of NFL news covering an incident that requires attention.
On Wednesday, the Tempe Arizona Police Department honored Justin Herron, the New England Patriot’s offensive tackle, for his help in preventing a sexual assault against a 71-year-old woman.
The Police Department praised Justin and another man, Murry Rogers, for intervening and stopping an attack at Kiwanis Park on March 20.
On Wednesday, the Tempe Police Department held a press conference to present Justin Herron and another good Samaritan, Murry Roger, with the Outstanding Service Award for their heroic actions.

The police added, saying that the suspect pushed the woman on the ground and was trying to remove her pants when the Patriots star and another man intervened.
The two Good Samaritans detained the suspect until police arrived.
Moreover, the Tempe police Detective Natalie Barela in the conference said,
“If not for the swift actions of Mr. Justin Herron and Mr. Murry Rogers, this vicious attack could’ve been much worse.”
Adding more, detective Barela said that the victim had experienced a significant trauma but, she has been working through all these and is physically OK.

The two Good Samaritans who stepped out to intervene in a sexual assault against a 71-year-old woman are Justin Herron and Murry Roger.
Justin Herron is the New England Patriots offensive lineman. He is a sixth-round (195th overall) in NFL 2020 draft pick from Wake forest.
A six-foot-5 inches tall, Herron has played in 12 games for the New England Patriots last season, including six starts.
Justin happened to be at the scene when he was walking through the park at that time after returning from Arizona’s offseason training.
The other Samaritan is Murry Roger, who is a Phoenix resident. Roger was at the park earlier that morning to reserve a spot for his 15-year-old daughter’s birthday party.
So, he witnessed the attack in a similar way to Herron and ran immediately towards the scene after seeing it.
Furthermore, Roger helped to detain the suspect while Herron got the victim away from the crime scene.

NFL Player Justin Herron honored for his action
Justin was walking through Kiwanis Park at around 11 am that day. He heard a woman’s scream when he was returning from some offseason training in Arizona.
He became alert after hearing the scream and hurried over to the scene of the crime, along with Roger, to ensure the woman’s safety.
There he saw Kevin Caballero threatening to attack a woman. The NFL player, Herron, said, “At the moment, I was in shock.”
“All I could do was rush myself over there to make sure I could help the victim, and I could comfort her and be the best person I can be.”
According to an ESPN report, Herron at the press conference said, “I’m a football player, I’m kind of big. I try not to be too aggressive with people knowing I could potentially hurt somebody.”
Moreover, Herron said that he has a loud voice. So taking this as an advantage, he yelled at the suspect to get off from the woman.

Then, he pulled him off the 71-year-old woman and asked him to sit down until cops arrive.
The New England Patriots’ player credited his parents for his instinctive actions at that moment.
Justin said that he never had any crisis experience before. All he said was his parents raised and taught him to help people who are in need.
He also added that he does not want the same incident to happen twice and be there to save someone’s life.
However, he said that he was glad to be able to save someone’s life on Saturday.
The quick actions of Herron and Roger helped the police to arrest the 30-year-old suspect, Kevin Caballero. Also, the woman sustained only minor injuries.

What do Roger and Herron say about the incident?
Herron and Roger formally got to meet with the woman to whom they have helped. Roger said that he was very emotional seeing the lady again.
“Over the past several days, I was thinking about her and pictured her face. It was really nice meeting her. I am glad that I got to meet her”, said Roger in a news conference.
Moreover, he said that he was always praying and wishing her the best. He even said that the victim called Herron and him “her angles.”
On the other side, Herron also expressed his concern to the victim through Wednesday’s news conference.
Justin does not consider himself a hero for what he did. And, neither do Murry Roger.
Herron further says that many heroes go unnoticed daily. He was doing what anyone else would do in that situation.
However, both Herron and Murry’s thoughts are always with the victim suffering from minor injuries and dealing with emotional trauma.
Since the suspect has already been arrested, the Tempe Police Department Special Victims Unit is now working with other agencies to determine if Caballero has been involved in any other incidents.
