In 1998, young Vettel’s approval for the Red Bull Junior Team commenced his racing career.

He started winning races, including the Junior Monaco Kart Cup in 2001. Derrick Walker allowed him to test a Reynard Motorsport Champ Car based on his early results.

He competed in Grand Prix at 19 and 53 days, making him the youngest Formula One driver ever.

Furthermore, following his crash in the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix, the young racer was substituted at the 2007 United States Grand Prix.

Toro Rosso

Vettel joined Red Bull’s Scuderia Toro Rosso in July 2007 as a replacement for Scott Speed. He was then named the Toro Rosso driver with Sebastien Bourdais.
