Diggs Family and Childhood

The Diggs parents are Stefanie Diggs and Aron Diggs. Their Father, Aron Diggs, died in January 2008 at 39. Aron Diggs passed away because of congestive heart failure.

College Career 

Diggs was a safety, wide receiver, and return specialist as a true freshman at Alabama in 2016. Additionally, on defense, he had five tackles and one forced fumble. He had 11 catches for 88 yards and a score on offense, and on special teams, he had 296 total return yards.

Diggs made the full-time transition to cornerback as a sophomore in 2017. He started the season opener against Florida State University before being pushed over for Levi Wallace on the depth chart.

Trevon has six tackles and three pass breakups. He also saw action on special teams, returning 18 punts for 154 yards, including one for 21 yards and two kickoffs for 74 yards.

Trevon Diggs started the first six games of the 2018 season as a junior before suffering a fractured foot against the University of Arkansas and being lost for the year. He had 20 tackles and an interception at the end of the season.

Trevin then started 12 games as a senior in 2019, totaling 37 tackles, three interceptions (tied for second on the team), eight passes defense (tied for first on the team), and two fumble recoveries, including a 100-yard touchdown return.

The Dallas Cowboys picked Trevon Diggs in the second round (51st overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft. Trevon Diggs caused a fumble on D.K.

Metcalf was at the goal line in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, and the ball then broke the plane of the end zone and sailed out of bounds, resulting in a touchback. 

Diggs could force the turnover after Metcalf slowed down and held the ball with one hand near the goal line. Also, Diggs earned his first career sack on Baker Mayfield during the 49–38 defeat to the Cleveland Browns in Week 4.
